2017 PARTICIPATORY PERFORMANCE-INSTALLATION (VARIOUS SOUNDING OBJECTS, CONTACT MICROPHONES, HEADPHONES, TRANSDUCERS, PERFORMANCE HUB, EAR SIGNAGES, etc.)

DURATION VARIOUS, DIMENSION VARIOUS

Invisible Unity is an interactive feedback loop made of multiple input and output nodes that connect physical and virtual social environments where we inhabit. The installation include interactive elements (microphones and small instruments in places that encourage audience members to participate), a performance hub (laptops and synths for us to improvise on), and multiple outputs embedded into the environment (resonating/transducer speakers on objects and architectural features, small amplifiers hidden in or around furniture, and headphones easily accessible to audience members). During the performance-installation, a live feed through one or more social media networks and instant messaging tools (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger) of the event will be inserted into the signal chain that bridges and reveals inaudible/invisible signaletic materials that dominate our contemporary mediascape. Participants and performers are thus united through sounding and listening.
